Later this month, a new movie about the life of notorious late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell begins filming.
According to the film’s Indiegogo page, “Gosnell” is the story of “the most prolific serial killer in American History,” who in 2013 was convicted of first-degree murder against three infants and involuntary manslaughter of a pregnant women, in a clinic plagued by sanitation, health, and safety violations.

It is being made by producers Phelim McAleer, Ann McElhinney and Magda Segieda, Executive Producer John Sullivan, and actor Nick Searcy, who is directing. McAleer and McElhinney are married conservative filmmakers who rose to prominence several years ago with a pair of documentaries on mining and global warming.
“We are so grateful to all those people who helped fund Gosnell to ensure the story is told,” McElhinney said. “They have placed huge trust in us, and we are grateful for that. We will not let them down.”
The creators say the film is meant to serve as a counterweight to the case’s blackout in the mainstream press:
The media don’t think this is a story. Even though Gosnell killed more people than Gary Ridgeway, John Wayne Gacey, The Zodiac Killer and Ted Bundy combined. In a 30 year killing spree, it is thought he killed 1000s of babies. And that wasn’t a national story?
But Jodi Arias who was on trial at the same time as Gosnell, for killing her boyfriend, just one person, was national news.
